Black Friday Sales can be worth it! Last year my husband got us a Christmas tree 75% off at Home Depot by being there at 5:00 AM and then heading off to work his twelve hour shift. This time I decided to reciprocate and try and replace our worn blanket/quilt! So off to Macy's...not at 5:00 AM though! Early enough though to get the last queen size comforter at $19.99 and extra warm blanket at $12.99. Macy's had a contest running where you could scan a QR code and maybe win a Macy's gift code. Of course I did that too! Won a $25 code! So new blanket and comforter for under $10! Happy husband...priceless!

Kelloggs Savings

Stop and Shop has Kellogg cereals on sale for $1.88 this week. There are coupons out there for $1 off three Kelloggs products. CVS Savings

All this for $2 at CVS! This is a great example of using coupons and sale prices together. This week's Sunday circular coupons had ones for $2 each off Total toothpaste and $1.25 off (3) Ragu sauces. CVS had coupons for soda and Rewards bucks back when you purchased these items. So after coupons and rewards bucks, the total was $2.

Don't overlook the great buys you can get at thrift stores, resale stores and yard sales.! This is my latest find for $1, got another shirt and 2 capri pants, for a grand total of $5! I especially like stores that benefit charities and religious organizations. You not only get great deals but you are donating to a good cause. Don't get discouraged, it takes some searching (consider it treasure hunting) but you never know which great deal you'll find. In example, ten winter coats for $10, which I donated to a homeless shelter. On my budget it was a great way to stretch that $10 donation and do some good at the same time.
